Designing a CCTV Camera System Commercial
When installing a camera system for your business or company, it is important to consider the five factors that will give you a system of good quality. Many camera systems are designed based on false assumptions or what people see on their favorite television show. Know the facts on cameras and camera systems give you a video surveillance system that will provide the most benefit for your money.
1. What problems are you trying to solve or prevent with cameras? - You need to sit down and decide first why you want a CCTV system in the first place. Is it going to save you money, prevent theft or burglary, to catch a thief who has stolen from you, etc. ..? You want to be able to define clearly what you want in the camera system. This will allow you to choose the right cameras and camera locations to prevent or resolve your problem.
2. Are you having problems on the day or night? - Most of the time problems occur at night, but when people look at the cameras and their quality, demonstration of these cameras are held during the day. Seeing how a camera performs in similar lighting conditions is crucial for determining whether a device is for you. Many devices can provide exceptional images during the day or under optimal lighting conditions, but what happens the night light or even lower with the image? Is the video camera still produce good quality images and are still alive? More importantly, are you able to accomplish the goal that you created in 1?
3. The cameras will be used for reading online, or both? - Most camera systems are used for reading to see what happened after an incident has occurred. In this case, make sure you know what quality the video will look like in playback mode. Many systems may look good when you watch the video stream live, but what happens in playback mode? Many Digital Video Recorders have the ability to record in different quality modes. Look at all the different modes and choose the quality is good for you.
4. Looking for general supervision or detailed legal? - Most people have seen the TV show where a person is capable of displaying video from a convenience store and zoom in and enhance the video to see the amazing facial recognition or license plate . This is fiction and TV CCTV is not. Zoom on video and clicking on an imaginary "improve the button does not exist. Since it does not exist, you must decide if you need general supervision or if you need medical information -legal. Monitoring general you will see a parking lot with one or two cameras. You may be able to see the color and type of car, but that's all. With forensic detail you seek plates or very closely the details of a person's face. The same camera may be able to provide both, but the field of vision and the lens used, will determine which one you get.
5. How are you, your security personnel or others responsible for the access security system? - There are many ways with today's technology to access your camera system. Will you use a PC, Mac, a wireless laptop or a Blackberry or iPhone? Just who will have access to cameras and decide on the foregoing, which will be used. Next, make sure you select a camera system that will work for you.
Having thoroughly reviewed all of these questions, you're ready to look at different systems of surveillance cameras. Now you can base your decision on facts and how the system will perform for you. Remember that each situation is unique and that security products should meet your needs. Not all camera systems are also designed to ensure that not only the products you choose are good, but the company you choose to install the system is ideal for your business too.
